The game was probably in "random" mode, it's a mode where it auto-selects one random plane from the list, whether or not you have enough rank to use it.
Pretty fun, needs more of a central point and not just roaming, or missions as vash said. Different upgrades, better instructions, but overall a good game, has great potential 3/5
