As long as people would prefer to buy beta, which I'm quite sure they are, the benefits of each item is irrelevant. Like I said, it doesn't cost Chris anything.

Shiny, it's obvious why beta was removed. If beta and BC were both available, of course everybody would buy beta and not BC, because it gives so much more for its price. So, they clumped them together, so you have to get BC in order to get beta. It's even more effective, when the merchandise doesn't cost them anything.
