After playing a bit it seem the easiest way to progress is simply to bring all your money to the bank and ignore all that water stuff. income from water seems to be much less than income from bank.

What is the trick to make the game play instead of showing a black screen?

Do the choices I make during the game influence the plot in any way?

What kind of browser do I need to play this? Looks like both Chrome and Firefox do not work.
