1) Great concept, fun and creative
2) Middle part of the game maintains attention - but becomes a grind fast
3) Please make the "rainbow" chests open quicker, they only show up when you have a hoard and take forever to open.
4) Perhaps a shop is required, later game upgrades make you feel like you are playing the initial stages for no reason.
I really want to love this game, but it is missing something.
Okay lets check out Kongregate to see if there is anything interesting...hmmm multiplayer, RPG, hmmm this one might be worth a click "OMG INFECTONATOR 2!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME HOW DID I MISS THIS." click click click click
Did the first levels just become SUPER hard???? What happened? I have died on the first level a few time. We you get an attack +1 weapon in the first room I wish there was a reset button.
I absolutely love this game, until I die. Then I turn it off. Change that one thing and everything thing else is okay. To make an incredible game: 1) get rid of the permanent death. Save game. Autosave every 2 levels. Whatever. 2) Sitting around should heal. 3) Some sort of guide. Impact of stats. How spells work when combined. 4) An XP to level indicator
My only complaint is that I wish it was a bit longer. It is a great game and really well balanced, each upgrade feels like it is a benefit. I wish it could be longer without turning into a grind also. A great game. Congratulations. 5/5
That flying enemies fly between your key board locations is completely annoying. I love upgrade, equipment style games, but this one is very boring. Something should be done to make it more interesting and allow for different strategies and styles.
KONGREGATE please adjust your "best" system for comments! How does "A pretty impressive game for those who love war games!!!" get a top rank???? Let me see...probably the first guy who posted. Or "Awesome, Exciting, long Game !!! 5/5" Maybe there should be a rule against anyone under 18 voting on comments.
I hate it how on Kongregate the first stupid comments go right to the top and some really good comments disappear to the abyss. Armandonilla is right, set the range to 0 or they let guys go right by.
Here are my hints for anyone trying to beat the game. I will start by saying the new changes such as click and drag combined with more expensive terraforming was a good thing. The game seems much more balanced now. After you get flood it is your best friend. Just make sure that you build at a higher elevation than your enemies and expand like crazy in the opposite direction of the enemy. When you use the flood make sure you are in "make settlement" because everything gets shifted, which has the added bonus of cleaning up any burt ground. Use way points to move your people to areas that you are building, you can even make it in the ocean and build towards it as people lay down settlements. Every time you can send a flood do it until your enemies are gone. The earlier levels are fairly easy, enjoy!!!
I really like this game, especially that there are several types of battles. However, I would like to see a better system for upgrades. My biggest complaint is that it is very monotonous in the end. I saved and got the rhino and dragon early so the strategy stays the same over and over and over again. I think that with a little bit of improvement this could be a top game.
Here is a good trick to finding the treasure, might be obvious to many. Got to an outside extreme corner...for example the southwest extreme corner. Click on it. More over the number of cells (example 3). So move east 3 cells and click. More up the number it says, example 2. Move up 2 cells and there should be the treasure. If you stay to the extreme corner it is easy to triangulate in.
I am really frustrated. I think that the game deserves a little bit of investment to buy some shiny.....but it hurts to bad that to get the forth worker costs 1000 shiny. It is like $6 (at the largest most economical rates). Come on......Just 1 worker?!?!? I just think the game has out-priced itself and slowly will loose interest of players.
Honestly, I wish I could of made a game like this as a class project. It is a good first step and a good basis to have a great future game. Now that you have the basics, I look forward to some creative stuff in the future. Good luck and congratulations.
Okay I see that the boss on "3-6" has been "fixed". Well it hasnt been fixed. It is now a nightmare. It is completely screwy. Guys run by, get stuck on zoom in....please fix this.
Do you use mouse or touchpad?
