Death animation slowdown plus "You failed" wait time far too long, pointless, obnoxious screenshake on every swing, and really dumb AI that you have to rely on for several of the bonus stages mar what could have been a really solidly designed game.
Oh, look. This boss is immune to all status effects, and his melee hit dispels everything. I guess all the strategy I've been learning gets tossed out the window, and I just throw my biggest nukes turn after turn.
As always, screenshake should come with an option to toggle it off. I'm not epileptic or anything, I just don't like playing games that try to give me migranes.
Having auto-pause on loss of focus is nice, but please make it an option, rather than mandatory. Also, I know a lot of people play on mobile devices these days, but hotkeys are very useful to us old-fogey PC types.
Great game, but I hope the massive memory leaks in it get fixed soon. When Flash player is taking up more memory than a 3D MMO, something's going amiss...
When the game freezes, it fubars the calculation for how many stars you've earned -- either that, or if you replay a floor and get fewer stars the second time, it saves the new total. My "Me" page lists me as having -1 stars...
The gem management screen freezes so often, I find myself having to save after every few actions just to not be constantly wasting 10 minutes of inventory management at a time.
Really, *really* needs a way to check enemy stats in combat, or at least their element. I'm not going to memorize hundreds of sprites and elemental interactions just for a flash game.
The orange ones really need to stop spawning once you have them all. If you go down the center of the hourglass level the first time through, it's basically impossible to retrace your steps well enough to get them all on the way back.
I love it when I select an attack, and my character moves forward and whiffs three times. It'd be one thing if another character's attack pushed the enemy out of range, but this was my first attack of the round, and she just stops an extra sword-length too far from the opponent. I could have lived with it, except it was against the trio of level 4 casters who one-shot 2/3rds of my level 11 team each round.
Also, why the hell doesn't "unequip all" unequip my weapon, so that I can use it as a material to buy a new one? Do I seriously have to buy another crap weapon just to equip, in order to use my real weapon as a trade-in?
Considering the lack of pause commands, and the amount of micro you want us to do in the later levels, it really needs to be easier to move a barracks' units quickly.
The big saucer surrounded by 8 little ones has about 10x too much health. It takes several minutes to kill just that one ship, with level 3 rockets. When it's more efficient to kill yourself to start over to collect cash, rather than destroying it, it's time for a rebalance.
That guy is hard to kill, so you better use your biggest nukes!:D
