so this is a "free to play" game but you have to pay to get all the good stuff? the developers are such a bunch of hypocrits. this game should not be allowed in here.
finally the second week. as always i'm intrigued by the scenario although this time i'll refrain from opping into conclusions ;-)
just one idea, if i may: hitting an eel or a spider or a stormy cloud is not really "punishing". yes, you loose coconuts/fish/clouds but still, you can play the mini games as much as you need until you get the correct amount of items. what if you add something like a "desperation meter"? the more "bad items" (spiders etc) you hit, the more desperate the protagonist gets, and thus maybe he just kills himself out of sheer lack of morale. sounds a bit morbid but with the photos in the box, that's hardly an issue :-P this way it can get a bit more dificult/challenging. don't know if it would be within the game's style though...
pretty solid game. i can't find any real disadvantages apart from the fact that it is a bit easy. the graphics and sound are ok but i really enjoyed the use of internet and video game memes. 4/5
interesting game. the crazyness at the end, along with the clues given at the last day are rather intriguing although i think i know what's going on (the guy is locked up in a mental asylum and he just *thunk* that's he's on a tiny island?? just my personal view at things anyway...) anyway, i believe that some tweaking on the graphics, along with more things to do, would greatly improve this already good game. looking forward for the next weeks and please, hurry! :-P
what an awesome game! very good and very, VERY IRRITATING! i had to control myself in order to not to kick and hit my desk while screaming nyarlathotep's name on top of my lungs. at first i was gonna give it 4/5 but when i finished the game and found out about the jukebox, i decided to give it 5/5. so there.
vwey good game. nice graphics (especially during the "cutscenes"), nice music, although a bit short... at least you were fast in releasing the 2nd episode :-) keep up the good work friend!
PS. once again, i loved the references to alice is dead ;-)
quick question. when you check the rabbit statue at the elder's house, the protagonist comments that it seems oddly familiar. is this supposed to be an "easter egg" about the alice is dead series?
nice game! it has interesting graphics and music, and the story is cool too. i especially enjoyed the fact that the main hero looks like a wolf. and the girl wears a red cape... reminds you of anything? :-P ki hope we'll see the sequel soon!
very nice game. one fine example of fantasy-horror game. however, it has its problems. first of all, it is a bit too easy. secondly, leveling up was not very interesting...it would have been better if there were stats like strength, stamina etc. third, attack spells were rather useless- never really used them myself apart from seeing what they do.
another thing that strikes me as odd is the boss music. it is so...different from the rest of the music! when not fighting a boss you hear ambient sounds that really create a good, creepy mood. but during boss fights you hear some kind of...techno-beat music with a laugh-track? no, i think you can do better than that. oh, and please, you don't have to use so much voice distortion to make us understand that a creature is utter evil :-P
apart from these, i really liked the game, and i wish to see a sequel soon!
i've played and finished this game almost 2 years ago (19 months ago, to be precise) and I still think that what this game needs is... a sequel. seriously!
the game tries to use some D&D-like mechanics but there must be a problem somewhere seeing that light/heavy attacks are just weird at their execution. this, plus the stupid bugs, make it irritating. and i want an enjoyable game, not an irritating one. shame, since i really liked the pet protector game. fix the bugs, and i might play it some more. otherwise, SORRY but there are other, bug-free games that are just as entertaining.
@falo1324 really? randomness is having a weapon that deals 1d6+1. it can deal from 2 to 7 points of damage with each attack.
@the corruptor: ok, how can i "test" this out? see how much an enemy lowers my attack percentage...
oh, and a glitch/bug/whatever: i started with a 60% percentage of a medium attack, and now it's up to 74%. in some battles, it would lower to 72%, or 70%, or 65% (!!!), then back to 74% to a battle afterwards, then to 71% etc etc etc. is there some kind of hidden modifier? at first i thought it happends because i loose hit points... you know, my character gets weak from all that hits he gets... but no, current hit points have nothing to do with it. is this some kind of glitch? if it is, then you should be ASHAMED for releasing a game without testing it first. if it's not, then WHY can't i see anything about it in the library??
