Second christmas event is kind of ... disappointing? I obtained all the items before the update, only to find that the only things the update added were bonus present items. bleh.
The inertia calculations for the horizontal distance "classic" mode is pretty weird. You more or less dead stop really soon after you run out of fuel regardless of how fast you had been going before.
Was kind of having fun with it, got close to a thousand ascension levels... then my save file poof'd. Yes, I know there's an export option, but I'm probably not going to start over.
@nitro999: I'm sitting at 19 billion angelic investors, and I don't think I'll be hitting all the in-game achievements within a reasonable time. Though with its feature to continue offline, i still pop back and restart it every now and then for the extra angelic investors!
So, I had something like 13 billion angelic investors as best I can recall when I last loaded the game about a week ago. Now, when the game tries to calculate the amount of money I earned while offline... it crashes Unity Player. Best I can figure is that there was too much backlogged stuff to calculate. Kind of a bummer.
Without there being a cap for item upgrades, the "cheap starter items" like leather armor and copper sword ends up being by far the best items around simply due to the abundance of upgrades it can get. My Copper Sword +250 was easier to obtain and have vastly superior stats than my reforged Callistite Sword, and they took about the same amount of time to obtain. Haven't even looked at the armor, since I haven't picked up a 2nd piece of Callistite.
It... plays very much like the older notebook wars games to me, with no real significant gameplay changes or even systemic changes. It sorta feels like a level pack expansion, which is nice 'n all, but still.
My colonists went on strike, apparently, and are refusing to build anything. I've the wiring and the pipes laid out for the hydroponics, but they are simply not building them. I have all the materials, its simply not being built.
I was cranking along the game at max difficulty and wasn't having too much of an issue with the enemies... some fights took a while, bosses were tough to chew on... but that was expected.
Then I got to the final boss, and ZOMFG ow @___@)' ... it saddens me that I had to turn down the difficulty a notch to beat it =(
There were some server issues this morning which have since been resolved.
