It'd be nice if the navigation controls had consistent compass direction. You would intuitively expect that repeatedly clicking the same arrow would continuously move you in one direction. But in this game, if you, for example, start in the bar area and you keep clicking down, you just go back and forth between the bar and pool area. Meanwhile, clicking down and then up takes you from the bar area to outside the bathroom.
I took my first shot at the hard badge, and I thought I did pretty damn well, practically speeding through the game nonstop. But then I see my "best so far" thing, and turns out I took an entire half minute longer than 200 seconds...
Last Flake is a juggernaut if you max out regen and add a few points into HP. The last boss wiped out most of my characters pretty quickly, but then Flake single-handedly won the rest of the fight with her OP regen rate.
The End of Hope was actually surprisingly easy if you have the right strategy. I just took my Iron Fortress with an Omega seal, and then had all the rest be ranged units. Then I just let the Iron Fortress (very slowly) make his way to that crazy Amazon juggernaut and then sent the rest of the units forward. Keep spamming Regen and you should be able to keep the Iron Fortress alive indefinitely.
I like how a select few commenters are completely missing the point. "Hey, that name makes me think of the Grinning Colossus from You Have to Burn the Rope!"
Am I the only one who find it hilarious to spam the knee-kick attack on everything that comes your way? It's like you have these groups of soldiers scrambling to try to kill this one guy, but the guy just runs around breaking all their legs one by one.
I thought my experience with hard mode was kind of interesting. Not sure if this is common for everyone, but I had the hardest time towards the beginning, when the ship started off with nothing. Once I got well into the upgrading, however, the later chapters were moderately difficult but nothing like I had to replay a chapter 15 times to get past it or anything.
Wow, I actually like all three of the games Rete's made so far. I was also pretty surprised when he first came out with a game like I Have 1 Day, because at the time, the only other game he made revolved around helping an idiot take a shit.
So anyway, I was hiding around a corner next to a crate, and a guard spotted me. He shot me once, and then he decided to move closer. Apparently in that split second, his movement broke the line of sight between me and him, and he thought he "lost track of me" and started running around randomly again. I was still just standing there in the corner. I decided to keep waiting there, and it happened a second time with another guard. >_>
Minor complaint: For the spy, you shouldn't have to click ON the spy to drop the bomb. Clicking ANYWHERE should make her leave a bomb behind. I say this because often times I need to drop a bomb while in midair, and it can be hard trying to click that tiny spy leaping through the air sometimes. That said, I also think using the spy has got to be the best part of the game. Covertly sneaking around enemy troops and sabotaging them with bombs is incredibly satisfying.
You know, "chilling" as an adjective doesn't generally mean "relaxing." It more along the lines of "creepy." After I read the description for the game, I thought he meant the game was going to have some kind of creepy horror stuff going on the background or something.
I played a lot of Remnants of Skystone back in the day, so now every time I hear the music playing during this game, I can't help but think of RoS in the back of my mind.
