GoodyGoodman- What you are suggesting is GREAT. I would love the idea of new weapons but do keep in mind that this game is based in WORLD WAR 2. The AK-47 was made after world war 2 by a tank engineer and the M-16 was made before the Vietnam war. I have no idea what a TA-5k is but it's probably another modern weapon.
EVERYONE LISTEN UP! STOP WHINING ABOUT ARTY AND YOUR TROOPS NOT SHOOTING AT GERMANS! Just read the description for the game. It says "ready for some UNFAIR brutality".
you people really have to stop complaining about the "unfairness" of this game. You should be expecting it, it's in the description of the game. "Ready for some unfair brutality?"
Bliska, the enemy waves will not change because of the troops you hire, instead the waves are generated RANDOMLY. I once got a tank on level 37. The amount of artillery and airstrikes do change, however, when you go past the squad "limit" of 6 soldiers/vehicles/AAA turrets.
I have experienced all of the Blitz waves. (Panzerfaust wave, Tank wave, Normal Troop wave, SS troop wave, sniper wave, and the final assult which is on wave 100. Building a bunker does not affect how many enemies you get or whether you get Blitz waves or not. In fact, building a bunker/trench raises your squad's survivability rate. Get an Engineer ASAP and replace if necessary at ALL times.
to gain ground, move ALL your troops to the top portion of the screen. *NOTE* AAA cannons don't count. Tanks and jeeps do!*After gaining ground, the only reward is 1 TP. Although all your sandbags and bunkers will be gone.
Lord Richrich is right. in this game, every time a rocket round gets near something that it can destroy, it blows up. for example, if you don't want your bunker destroyed by Panzerfaust rounds then put a few antennas in front of it. Cover won't work most of the time, i don't know why but it just doesn't.
you people really have to stop complaining. The only way to avoid artillery and airstrikes is if you have a squad that has a maximum of 6 soldiers. Remember that a jeeps, AAA guns, and tanks also count.
deathlord0, your method is exactly what i use, but you have to keep this in mind- not everyone who plays this game is a general so they don't have the last stand option. Instead, they have to get their points the hard way. By the time they get a bunker and a gunner with 50 rifle they'd be on their 60-70th wave.
Tips for people with spec ops as your main method of defence: Don't have too many of them. 7 is the most you can have without bombers and artillery killing you. If bombers and artillery do come for you though, don't place your spec ops too close to each other. instead, place the weakest unit in front, as he will be the "tank" and take all the damage.
