I have completed the game and got all badges. There is an issue with leaving the base, or rather instant reentering. I have disabled Autosave and Sound in the options and I could usually leave the base on the second try. On firefox.
40 stars and goodbye forever. It was not as hard as I was afraid, with the special troops of course. You don't need to complete all lvl 5 missions, you can have 2 unfinished. One thing that is innovative in this p2w: you get a lot of free special troops, but if you use them too early (before lvl 4) or loose to often then you are in deep trouble, becouse the standard troops are useless in lvl 5.
@zedharold: You must have missed a nickle, you have to start over to get the gold ending. Big thanks to the dev for no level select. Or a way to tell whether you so far have all the coins.
Last remark: the medium badge was a mistake, the easy was enough to get attention. Maybe some people would stay after earning the easy, most would leave and wouldn't bother to comment, the medium brought only bad publicity.
The dev asked for "an elaborate opinion" so: I believe this game gets a lot of negative comments because the people are fed up with crappy P2W games receiving badges. This one isn't actually so bad, but it gets hit with accumulated outrage. I do like the tactical combat in the storyline, the art style and the music. But the home development and manufacturing part has all the hallmarks of a bad P2W. For example: with a mine at level two i get 20 ionite per hour, I need 100 for one artillery bombardment and 4 bombardments for one fight. That's 20 hours production for a single 5 minute fight. Despite that I have hoarded some 300 pieces of various bombs from missions and chests. The game hands them out quite generously, at least at the beginning. But people already see what is coming: the bombs will eventually run out (or already have if someone tried PvP) and producing new ones in the factory in sufficient quantity is impossible. I won't even start on the basic / premium units.
The items don't work and the int training freezes the game. I recall everything was fine when I first played this game several years ago. I guess it hasn't aged well.
Very nice game, however: 1. It does not save my progress (firefox). 2. I would modify the one step move during the pause so that it plays until one of the blueprints enters a new square, that is what the players need and having to click several times to achieve this goal is an unnecessary complication and waste of time.
Great game! It took my warrior 371 minutes to eradicate all monsters in the dungeon and I enjoyed each one of them. Finding a book with swiftness was game changing. Combined with a halberd it means no melee damage. Ranged enemies are easily run down. And most importantly: it saved my life when the enemies came from behind on 16th floor.
I have lost 45 lvls of progress by just closing the browser. No deleting cookies or other stuff, it just didn't save anything. The game is very good, but I don't enjoy doing the same levels again.
I enjoy this series very much and I saw some criticism, so I'll throw in something from myself. It's true that this is more a visual novel then a game. The gameplay is simplistic and the puzzles are trivial. But the humor is great and the story is compelling. That's why the series has a faithful fanbase but is not appealing to new audience. My opinion: please do continue the great work you do, take care of the story and don't worry about the rest. But advise the players in BIG bold letters that there is no sense in playing if they haven't played the previous games and don't follow the story.
