Solid game, though pretty hard on normal mode (I love a good challenge). The thing that makes this game stand out mot to me over other TD games is the intelligence of the towers. They'll fire EXACTLY enough to destroy the target. No more, and rarely any less. Fast paced, well built, though the mute option refuses to stay muted on mine. 5/5
2,365,232 (without doctoring the score). The game is buggy, glitchy, slow, unattractive, doesn't proved a description of the towers, once a tower is selected it cannot be deselected, and at the end if you keep tapping the sell tower button (when score is being displayed) your score continues to rise. Also, score submission seems broken. 1/5
The infinite attack bug is due to retreating enemies. If you allow a large enough number of your minions to run after them, they eventually catch them, and the bug dissolves. An annoyance, to say the least.
Assuming that the game were to function in it's current state of simplicity (as randomly flailing around with one drum, a foot pedal, a cymbal, and a cowbell), the mouse is not the best way to control it. Mayhaps 1337 keyboard action? 2/5 (the cowbell earns a star)
A menu, upgrades, a mute button, variety in enemies, and a score would be nice.
Also, it would help if the ship moved faster. It's impossible to get from one side of the screen to the other in time to keep any from slipping by.
Good start though.
As a person who does IT support for a living, this is almost as therapeutic as taking a few of the old machines out to the gun range. How about some weapons?
Just a thought, what if there were a special enemy unit that could sabotage your tower with C4 etc. if they aren't separated from them with like barricades or something? That would definitely liven things up a bit.
I see no reason to draw the dirty objects. My long rectangle of a ship wound up becoming a cigarette of doom (I even bothered to color my guns like a cherry and ash).
yaykitties, you seem to have a bad habit of talking down to people and their games. And as for your comment, I suppose I'm an effin idiot, because I use the mouse aim. It add a whole new aspect to the game. Don't just place and upgrade towers, but tell them where to shoot as well. Perhaps YOU'RE the idiot, can't even aim your own tower.
Still buggy, but getting better. I like the fact that the towers grow when you merge them together. Perhaps you should add an indicator as to what elements effect what baddies. Funny opening video though. 3/5
Okay, here's one for you: I had three towers, all had had their range upgraded 3 times (btw, you need to post that can be done), and my third tower refused to shoot. What gives?
Instead of protecting heaven or hell, why not both? Perhaps let the player choose which to defend. Personally, I'd loose my liking of the game if I had to defend heaven. Also, I notice the level 4 juggernaut is gone, good job. Graphically, the game looks a bit better, however I don't know if it's my mouse or the game, but I've had several instances of getting an element other than what I clicked. Also, the auto aim's intelligence still seems low, but has lost it's computer crashing power. A little less satanic, but I like it. Also, a hotkey [such as shift] to place multiple of one item would be nice. I'm lazy and hate moving my mouse across the screen 20 times to upgrade my towers every level. Also, how in the hell [bad pun] do you know when someone wins? I was 1/3 through wave 13 and got the winning message. Oh well, at least it clears the screen so you can read it now.
