The only surefire way to beat the boss is to play defensively. Essentially, if you intentionally attack him you're doing it wrong. Your first priority every turn should be to try to find a defense gem match followed by a counter attack.
I really want to give this game 5 stars, but I have this nagging problem with it. You need to be able to see ahead just a bit farther. No matter how skilled you are, there comes a point at around 200 meters + or so where there's no room for error. Normally that would be fine but at some points the spike strips are cut off at the top of the screen where you're going to be landing your next jump and without being able to see it you can't judge how high to jump. At lower altitudes you can over jump and correct but this isn't possible at the higher altitudes. If you could see at least high enough to the point where your maximum jump would land it would be perfectly fine. But overall I really enjoyed it. I'd love to see a sequel with more types of obstacles perhaps. Thanks for a great game. 4/5
He was awfully close to that nuclear blast at the end. I think he should me more concerned about radiation than zombies at this point... And radioactive zombies....
The 500,000 point score for the challenge mode only submitted for me when I let the time run out, NOT when I left the room through one of the doors. If any of you are having a hard time getting the score submit or the badge, make sure to try this.
This game was great fun. I'm not a huge fan of tower defense games but this one shows that less is more. It can be a bit of a grind at times, and a way to reallocate your skills would be nice. Other than that, great game.
I got the hard badge with something like 70 weeks left on my first try. It seems hard not to get it if you're actually trying to. Still, the game was creative and could easily be expanded for a sequel. (deeper combat, more interactive work and school, more dungeons etc). Good game and happy to see something a bit more creative!
It started to get a bit slow by the end, but it was a very polished game. I can't say I was too thrilled about having to go through EA's servers though. There were a couple of occasions where it couldn't connect to them to save.
By the way, I still need two bows and an axe to anyone who wants some maces in return.
