Half of the levels are dead easy, half of the levels are so ridiculous that you play the first minute or two ten times before you work out what strategy will work for this particular level. 1/5
And in other news, scientists for the Department of Defence have ascertained that projectile weaponry, or "guns", can actually be pointed upwards to defend against airborne attackers at close range.
Gold stars all across the board via random cat and just standing on top of the block without moving. Game is incredibly easy and therefore boring. Honestly, if you don't have some grounding in music, you're just going to hit random and get on with it. Nice concept but too easy and too niche.
Concept is solid, execution is not. When you're choosing the starting cells, there's no indication as to which does what, besides the vague description. Movement is sloppy, you go from a crawl to flying through the next room in 0.5 seconds. Turning is awful. The shot physics are frustrating as hell. You're so fragile it's ridiculous, and I spent half of the time trying to get my shots where I wanted them instead of dodging. I felt the "new cells can only be the same type as an adjacent cell" suffocating, although I never made it past 5-6 evolutions, even after playing for nearly an hour.
Didn't like the art, dialogue was meh, gameplay was generic. Story was meh. Programming was good but it's just a knock-off FF. I'll stick with the original if I want to kill time.
What a stupid thing to say, "You can just turn off your speakers/headphones." Maybe people want to listen to something else using said speakers? Useless comments.
Last boss is stupid. Warp in, shoot for 3 seconds, warp out. There's no dodging or strategy at all, you just wait for your shields to recharge since otherwise you die in ~5 seconds.
