the triangle ships don't actually kamikaze you. they will not hit you if you don't move. that makes the survival level with only green ships not too hard. all you have to do is promise not to move for 3 minutes.
I always have trouble with the reach lvl 4 or 5 boost challenges. But if you get Sir Colin and enough upgrades, you can sit at the beginning of the level doing front flips from a sitting still start position until your boost gets to lvl 5. Then just fly through the level and you can still come in first place! Woo!
