I'd like to see myself start earthworm-sized, eating bugs, moving up to pets, then people, then tanks, then armies, then states. Growing katamari-style.
I wouldn't mind this knockoff half as much if only a) the controls felt even close to the original, b) the game didn't seem to lag so much ("Great, I won! Aw crap. Now I get to wait 10 seconds for my score."), and c) if it could do something as kind as letting us see any decent quantity of the level all at once.
Wait. I used to be this guy who stabbed our national hero in the back right before heroguy won the war, but I was framed for having done it? And then after the huge, public case I'm thrown in the arena but no one knows me? Seems legit...
I may be alone on this, but I, for one, would have preferred a higher-resolution game with more fleshed-out graphics. I also felt like the clicking was a bit finicky: I wasn't ever sure whether I had actually clicked everywhere I could or not. For that reason it wasn't until I checked the walkthrough that I found that yes, there WAS something I could do with the skeleton. And finally, I felt like I had no clue what was going on. This meant that at the end I had to disagree with the main character. No, I wasn't really concerned about going back. I hadn't even figured out what had happened in the first place. While extra storytelling information in your twitter or web site might be interesting, if I can't find it while I'm in the game I've got to walk away from the immersion to get it and it loses some impact.
Really wish that there was a ? or temporary placement option. Sometimes I want to count things out or check and see if the strategy I'm using is valid. I can't do that right now without pulling out graph paper.
Congratulations, Mr. Anthropomorphic-but-non-autolocomotive fruit. You were saved from the ninja raincloud with incontinence problems but now you're trapped inside of an enclosed space. I would help you get out but instead I'm going to go imprison other fruits, too. Good luck!
I really wish that the tubes were labelled with which room they go to. The number of times I've gone through a stupid tube I didn't actually want to go through.... Grr.
I started the game by upgrading my archers as fast as I could. Now I'm nearing the end of the 4th world and I still almost never build anything else. The game's a bit redundant now. Start the round, cast some spells. Keep casting until a bunch of archers catch up. Keep summoning the whole time. Win. All it took was upgrading my food production speed. I realize I COULD change strategies, but I'm so far into the game now that changing my build would be a pain. I kinda just feel at this point that the game is a tad too long.
I'd like a button for late-game that just advances my day. At the end I had tons of cash and circuses, Town Halls and Sheriff's Offices all over but had to click 5 times for every day to advance.
I just want to say "thank you" for the fact that you DIDN'T put in a stupid timer. I hate that puzzle game designers seem to think that every puzzle game should have a timer. It drives me nuts that a meaningless time value makes me feel stupid and I spend at least as much time watching the clock as solving the puzzle. Thank you for moving away from that horrible trend.
Finally completed the game. My STRONG suggestion is that you only pick up gear that is extremely high in its main stat. Balancing gear gets really tough later if you don't. Also, don't even bother trying to crank through chapter 8 until you've got at least 60 damage in each stat. That means you're going to have to start grinding like crazy after chapter 6 or so. It's not a lot of fun, especially with the slow battle speed, long animations, and lots of really bad luck that will get you slaughtered over and over in the small 3x4 match field.
When I'm adventuring why can't I cast spells outside of combat? Am I really incapable of casting a Heal spell if someone isn't trying to hurt me at the same time? I've got MP to keep me from just infinite heals.
It'd be nice if I could see my current piece of equipment's stats while viewing a new one in the store. It's really frustrating to have to go back and forth to compare, especially since a) the stats are in a different order than your attributes on the left and b) stats with +0 aren't shown, so it's hard to remember which stats aren't being pumped sometimes.
To expand upon Rivalry's comment, here's your winning team (S for all levels) AND how to get it. 1) Puppet-Striker-Shadow Killer 2) Spirit-Warp-Soul Seeker 3) Undead-Eater-Entropy Alien 4)Undead-Walker-Corpse King
Two things I REALLY wish this game had? 1) Mouseover highlighting of an object. I tried clicking the silver lighter on the first page a zillion times. Finally I gave up thinking it was just part of the background... and then used a hint to go right to it. Grrr! 2) Some sort of obvious visual clue when we click an object for those times when we can't have the sound on. I could only play this when I had the sound on because the simple graying out of an item (or even just reducing the number) was too subtle for me.
