He does free the dog. He says at the end, after he defeats Mist and returns to the surface that he has a dog to free when Giza asks if he wants a ride to go catch up with friends. You just don't see him free the dog, but it's clearly implied that he goes to free it instead of going to see friends. :D
We have to be honest: we added that in a fixed release XD
In the beginning, because if a distraction, we forgot to explicitally talk about the dog's fate... please forgive us! :(
So, basically, I should go out and buy a new computer if I want this game to not lag so much... Seriously? It's just a flash game, for crying out loud. Lag is sad. I can play Blizzard games on this PC without trouble, so why not a cute little kitten game?
Why are the upgrades maxed out at 150? I haven't earned them all. The game worked the last time I played it. Everyone's right. The upgrades doesn't scroll anymore. The first time you load it the cannon moves up and down but the second time you go on a run, it is stuck in one position. I can make money but the upgrades don't stay.
Me: (scrolling through comments while game loads) What are you guys talking about? I played the game two days ago. Nah, it's fine!
Me: (after game loads) Uhhh, there's a problem!
I beat Zombogod on my first try. I beat every level on my first try except one. The only level I had to repeat was level 4. I found the whole thing pretty easy.
My NPC's were upgraded with only special ability, based damage and capacity shy one of the max. My hero was upgraded with only base damage and stun ability one shy of max. I beat the boss by focusing on him with he hero, using my spells as soon as they were available. I let my NPCs focus on the boss's spawns. Piece of cake, really.
This is not much different from every other drill game. The only thing is, you can't see your minerals. Another con, you use energy even if you're not drilling. It's fun though. Just don't like how 'game over' happens when you run out of energy. There should be an option to retry. What if you've gotten a lot of money and a lot of everything and oops, ran out of energy, game over?
