The behavior is inconsistent in different browsers, theres a potential solution involving webworkers, but that would leave a lot of people unable to play. (the other solution is a better coder :v working on getting there myself)
"Disgusting" would be if he made an achievement "The Holocaust", for which you would have to kill 6 millions of monsters.
Holocaust - as a word - is just a word which can be uses to express genocide. Holocaust and The Holocaust are not the same.
There is auto save every minute and every time you do something important in the game. Are you using any sort of cleaning program?
Anyway you can use the Export button in the settings to save the game data where you want.

People, use your brains. It's this game is really easy - just click for a bit and read for a bit to get it.
Bit too easy (it's all about control and collecting seeds), and after you win you can't continue, so all achievements are lost. Therefore... actually 4/5 instead of 3, cause it's damn fun. :)
