The bar to the left is your score, the x? (? being some number) is your multiplier. The bar to the right is the number of bubbles on the screen. The red number to the left of the bar is how many bubbles on the screen will cause a game over. The red number under the bar is how many current bubbles are on the screen. The bubbles under the bar are the color bubbles left in play. The grey bubbles at the top middle of the screen is how many misses you are allowed until a new wave of bubbles come in. The detection is delayed and sometimes doesn't work. You may get a miss when you hit, or a hit may not pop any bubbles. Sometimes strings of bubbles will not all be popped. you aren't penalized for a missed shot until your next shot, and it's not a game over until all the bubbles on screen stop moving. You can cheat the system by launching a few bubbles and popping excess bubbles sometimes.
@ Nainsell, the thing you fail to realize is, you don't HAVE to pay money. Everything that money buys you can unlock by doing it the fun challenging way. There are a hand full of things that are kreds only, but they aren't part of the game, and if you want fun and challenging, you wouldn't buy them anyway. The game promotes using kreds to skip the fun challenging part, but you still can get the same stuff the hard way.
I love these games. Pure genius. I also like how you start out with pathetically weak party members. Adds to the challenge, and makes me want to smash my computer. If I may ask, do you make all the sprites and animations from scratch, or do you have some awesome generator for it? Either way, this game is very nicely done.
Well, the concept works. However, there are a few issues. 1) In order to kill the cheese, you need better weapons to kill faster. To get the money, you kill the enemies. But you don't get enough money, and earning the amount of money needed to get the upgrade so you can earn money is way too high. You can't upgrade fast enough before getting killed. 2) Health doesn't drop very often. This is ok in the earlier levels, but once the monsters start flooding the screen, you can't dodge and without health you die very quickly.
Wow. Ok, can't trace our path to see if it will work, can't redo a level without redoing the entire building, the lag is insane..........what in the world is up with this?
