Just an FYI: Ninja Kiwi has compiled this, along with all the other Bloons games, in a collection available on Steam. The collection is titled "Ninja Kiwi Archive" and it's completely free!
This game always manages to bring me back to middle school. This game feels so barebones with it's simple art in the background and the lack of music during gameplay. But it's basic aesthetic is actually one of the game's strengths. It has such a carefree and childish atmosphere. The colorful balloons, monkey, and the cloudy sky brings back memories of youth in the player's head. You can't play this game and not get nostalgic.
I made it to the moon on my second try. Is that considered beating the game? Well, at any rate it's a marvelous game. The mechanics are simple, the gameplay is addicting, and the music is lovely. I remember playing this EIGHT years ago... Time flies. Just like Jetpack Jerome!
This might not be the most polished game mechanically, but the music and pixel art are both so simplistic yet beautiful that I can't help but admire this little game.
It seems this and the other games in the series are no longer playable on this site even with the SuperNova player. I had to play this over at CrazyMonkeyGames. Still, I love this short and sweet game. The developer was obviously just screwing around when he made this game; getting the hang of things. There's something so charming to me about that.
