"Maximize happiness"?! Contrebasse is moral utilitarian! Of course, my happiness would be maximized if I could this game from lagging. Overall, though, the game is very relaxing and comforting in a way. 5/5
@cevgar Apparently if you don't get the building-destruction object and just head to the escape area, nothing different happens. The "mother" still says that strange parting message, you get your score, blah blah blah.
I swear, the developer(s) must have played a lot of Runescape... and anyone making any connections to Tower of Greed? Just as fun, long, and frustrating...
You know how a common strategy when getting out of mazes is to keep your left or right hand on a wall at all times? Well, that's what your units are doing in this game when they hit a lake. They just keep one side of their body to the edge, and sometimes can veer off into places you don't want (like on the second city of Claymont). Very annoying... btw I give a 3/5: I guess I'm not a big fan of these types of games: it's good quality graphics and sounds, but just set it on auto and let the mind rot... :( oh well.
Hey! Does anyone else have sticky keys issues?
Anyway, about the game: graphics level still seems to be so-so (just like the previous game); music is still relaxing; gameplay seems to get longer and more tedious, as most RPGs are (but they offer cool animations, a developing story line, and whatnot along the way). Pretty complex and offers some strategy. I agree with most people that the village materials thing slows the game down... :(. All in all, I give a 4/5 (would rather rate 3.5).
THIS is the longest Shootorial, not the previous one... So, now I've noticed that most of the time intervals used to control enemy ship spawn, power-up spawn, etc., are all pretty much set values. When I play other shoot-'em-ups like Frantic or whatever, everything seems so random, but by seeing these Shootorials they don't seem so random anymore... :P
Hard badge was too easy to get. First try 121677 x combo 74 (not that great). Interesting concept; I expected the squares to make some kind of music upon hitting the paddle, but... oh well. 4/5.
Progress: one level per time I play this game. This game is a pain in the gluteus maximus, gluteus minimus, and my orbicularis oculi from all that white and black. Seriously, it's like getting a seizure. Otherwise, this game is flawless and beautiful. 4/5.
