More great music. The puzzles were more interesting this time, but I didn't really feel like I learned much story wise. There was one important thing; that Lily hadn't just left; that Rick was a drunken bum.
Nice art style but mostly fantastic music which completely fit the aesthetic of the game. Just enough story to keep me interested going forward. The puzzles were too simple though.
Sorry, but a pointless "story". I have no reason to care about any of these characters. I don't know why Alice is dead, who wanted the Rabbit killed and why, or what happened to Ann. I can make guesses, but the story doesn't tell me.
Interesting story/game. I liked how when Jonathan takes over, the words that had been red were now gray, but still distinct from the rest of the text. I was disappointed to see this in the "walk away" ending because I thought it was a direct result of Jonathan's control. It is a good way to tell story with UI. Whoever my father, Jonathan, and I are is confusing, but I suppose it's not really important. I liked the "source code" nature of it where you could do different things once you learned something instead of having to do a pattern over and over. I liked the interfere ending. Source Code should have ended at the freeze frame!
Cool twist at the end. I should have guessed it but I didn't. The little girl was the best and Rose was also funny. I thought would be *SPOILER*
the Cricket who died next.
Interesting game. Zatricia's journal entry was very sad and left me expecting some horrible sacrifice they made, even though I already figured Pauline was descended from this group. However, I was happy to see that they just left. The only potential issue is that choices at the end of games that had no choices before that are hard to fit with the rest of the game. This one makes some sense though.
Interesting game, but I don't understand the story elements. Mary says that if I meet Aurora, I will never leave. But when I try to leave on the trolley without setting the clocks, it says "It's not time yet. She'll catch me". I don't even know who Aurora is, other than that the people fear her, so why do I want to meet her? And then I don't anyway.
Very nice artwork. I liked the music but it is too short of a loop. It was funny to steal everything but that's how point and click games work. The only thing that felt off was when I would collect pieces of the story, I had no idea how she got some of the details. I found the tree early so how did she know a woman put the bell there?
Interesting mix of action and management. However there are interface issues. You need a real tutorial. I couldn't figure out how to upgrade characters. "Organize Student" looks just like the title for that menu, not a clickable option. On a minor note, I'd also like to be able to hit the number 1-4 to assign spot rather than having to click it.
I really like some of your other work like Hood and Kingdom of Liars, but this was far too simple and easy. There was really no point to playing this one.
Anticlimactic ending but otherwise good. I would agree with people having a problem starting the game with a puzzle and little context from a design perspective, but it really is an easy puzzle once you figure out you need to click the runes to manipulate the lines. I also thought "sun to soil" was quite clear, though maybe some don't realize that you need to click the triangle.
I had some trouble with the poem puzzle, but that's because there is actually too much info. You use the same symbol for "sky" and "stars" but only use the symbol for "three" once despite it appearing twice in the poem. Overall, decent game, but very good series.
I have to ask this time; what's up with the warnings at the beginning? I have not seen anything to warrant them. I suppose the violence one because of the dead body in Ep 2. There hasn't been anything that requires a mute, though I do like the one button control of that.
I like it when games take advantage of bad habits other games have taught me. I left the area of "disturbed ground" after finding the coin, assuming nothing else was there. I fumbled around for awhile before going back. Good job
Putting a nail in the demon's head and not letting us hit it is mean considering hammering nails was a necessary step in the last game.
I liked the conversation with the spirit that calls you a murderer.
Is this supposed to be an old movie? It looks grainy and I hear what sounds like a film projector. Nice touch if it is.
I love the pumpkin thief line and the way the character talks to people, but don't like the "click the right pixel" nature, such as finding an egg in a bush. Really?
This one was more sad and mysterious than the horror elements of the first two. The scene with the old woman was more like the other two.
I still haven't decided how much I like that we have NO idea what is going on as far as story telling, but I am interested enough to keep going, so I suppose that means it's good!
