A lot of things I dont like. You cant buy spells in between rounds and the game is too fast paced to think about spell choices while enemies are charging you. You cant rearrange the tower. Mana drains too quickly. I find that theres very little strategy and too much clickfest...ing.
Normally I'd say that this game is gold in flash form... but on my girlfriend's laptop, it runs TERRIBLY slow at low quality. So... minus 1 for that :P 4/5
I really enjoyed this game. First "spot the differences" game that I played for more than 2.8 seconds. I played through about 6-7 levels before I had to quit and get back to my life.
That 200 pixel spawning distance doesnt really cut it. When you're moving right and an enemy spawns 200 pixels away moving left, theres very little time to react. Especially when you have enemies in all other directions that you can move in pretty much. Remove the increasing cost of health. Those issues make the game too hard. To make the game more fun... well, one suggestion is to make the pips attract to you more easily. More money to spend.
This game is only made difficult by the fact that shit just spawns on you. That is not cool. There is very little skill in dodging on thing, only to run into something that just appeared. This game is 60% luck, 30% panic, and 10% reaction time.
Here's a quote from Brad Borne, the maker of Fancy Pants Adventure. He knows how to make fun games. "Hm… well, the most general advice I can give is this: more complex/realistic code does not make better games. Games are about fun, not imitating reality."
Netmonster... you're an idiot. I have a small basketball in my hand. When I throw it and it hits the ceiling... IT KEEPS TRAVELING IN THE DIRECTION I THREW IT. Ya know what? All balls do that. Except maybe footballs.
I really really love the concept... but the physics and controls are unbearable. A lot of the collisions don't make sense. The direction your ball gets sent in is.... not right. Its like your ball is made from some momentum reversing goo that sends you flying left when you hit a ceiling going right.
This game feels... just... weird. I feel like being able to jump whenever you want takes some of the challenge away from it. It also takes focus away from drawing a line to move the ball. Oh, and the hit detection is terrible.
AHhhh. The final quest was given to me by an alliance dude. Told me to slay the Shadow lord Xin (or something to that effect). Find a map for the main group your get all 4 pieces and then look for a quest.
This game was quite fun. I found it more enjoyable when i was actively trying to get the 3rd badge. I know I got hit on level 12 and i had a streak of 94. I played from 13 til 17 or 18 and i was hit again. That's when I quit and realized I got the badge :) It's definitely easier to try and grab the badge on the later levels.
The game was incredibly easy until I reached level 14. Then I got my ass handed to me. I only survive for about 30 seconds. How the hell do you beat it?
Good: animation, slightly different take on movement for your ship and gun
Bad: Very little room to maneuver, no pause (big, big, big, big no no), and... did i mention you have very little room to move around in?
2/5
Completed the game with only the level 1 unit... and a few dragons. I built lightning turrets just because i got XP from it. Fully upgraded level 1 guys are just fine. Upgraded initial mana and mana regen and unit build speed to max. Thats it. Easy game. But very fun :)
