I've just been through all the endings and I feel that something crucial is missing from the story: How did Todd, who is mostly an ok kid, become the violent, almost amoral man that is future Todd? What happened to make him lose his sense of right and wrong and kill an innocent man? There must have been something that set him off. This is definitely not the expected outcome of a simple crush like past Todd's; that was more or less your average schoolboy crush and wouldn't, by itself, drive one insane. A plausible explanation would be substance abuse, or some kind of mental illness that sets off later in life, or a traumatic event. This plothole notwithstanding, it's still a great choose-your-own-adventure game, so I'm only deducting half a star for that - so it's a 4.5->5.
Another bug: I went to the screen with the cobweb after I solved that puzzle and I selected the axe to see if I could cut the tree, and now I can't put the axe back in my inventory.
A great hidden object game, but why only three locations? The map has the player believe there would be more. I don't even know how to rate such a short game...
I recognize robotaki's "Falling from Heaven" from Kong Collabs (Ending #16). I'm really glad this music got to be used in a game. It's my favorite! ^_^
Thanks, Lion_Heart. That sounds like a reasonable explanation. Still, even something that only happens half the time can be a problem, because it can mislead you, so it would be nice if it could be improved.
OK my last two comments were voted under the threshold by a bunch of morons, so I'm going to post it again: On level 38, you're supposed to be able to flip the pushbot while it's moving. Problem is, half the time it doesn't work. You can keep clicking and failing until it reaches the orb and then you have to restart. It took me a while to even realise it was possible to flip it. I'm going to try "report a bug" too, but I've tried it with a couple of other games and I got the impression devs don't receive or don't read these things. So at least have the common sense to NOT HIDE THE COMMENT. @Mr_Control: Of course it's a bug! You aren't even making sense! Yes, the bot works on power, and?
OK it turns out you can turn the pushbot while it's moving... but it doesn't *always* work. Many times you click it and it doesn't do anything. At first I thought it was impossible.
