I don't know what it is about this game, but I think it's really good. Sure, it's pretty simplistic, but I like that. The sort of grind-like system it has is probably what makes it like it so much. Definitely reminds of of Pirates, though I suppose that's your main influence here. Classic.
Certainly an interesting concept, but I agree with mechafanboy that the trophy system needs is... well, flawed. More or less there is a great deal of luck involved, especially for those 2 or 3 or less required trophies. Besides that, I found it to be an interesting fusion of Puzzle Quest and Bejeweled, as it said in the description. I unfortunately found the story to be fairly cheesy and full of recycled cliches, and there is definitely some tweaking required in some parts, but I still give it a solid 4/5.
Very good game. The only thing I could think of was adding an option to compare your companion's items with those in a shop. Simply convenient, but it would be nice. Other than that, wow. Really, really goood, especially considering you did it all alone!
There should really be a warning when the croc is nearby. Being eaten immediately after exiting through one of those holes in the rocks is really, really annoying.
Kept me interested the whole way through. For some reason, these kinda grindfests usually do.
End boss a tough fight? How about a retardedly overpowered cheeseball.
The ending was pretty meh :P After all that?
My favourite so far. The companions are a nice addition. My only complaint is you can't turn off the sound effects along with the music :P
Can't wait for the next one.
It's very fun and all, even more so than the first, but I found that once I'd bought about eight lasers and a few rockets, the actual shooter part of the game became nothing more than sitting in the centre of the screen and obliterating everything. Quite easy, but I'm not really going to complain about it.
Pretty fun little game. Really easy after level 10, but still intriguing enough that I couldn't help but play through the whole thing.
Also, am I the only one who didn't get the 3 Luftbalons achievement? I even completed it on New Game+, but still nothing.
I think your experience system is broken. Every few levels I suddenly start earning up to four times as much per fight. Maybe you assumed people wouldn't level grind?
Pretty fun, and I really like that every single space has text to read. Very good artwork also.
Am I the only one to notice the quote from Braveheart? Funny.
