"I didn’t make the game for the f*ckin badges. They are good but they have nothing to do with the game. It wouldn’t be Ultimate Assassin if guards weren’t moving randomly." - I can't make games that are both fun and challenging, so i'll just make it luck based. If you didn't want badges added to the game, you wouldn't have added the API.
There was a small period where I got the key but wasn't upgraded enough to get to the boss, so I had to grind a little. Other than that, everything was great. 4/5.
Also, it's kinda funny that if this guy hadn't filled his tower with monsters you'd never be able to reach him. :)
In other news, there has been a zombie outbreak in a small town in the south yesterday. Luckily, it was ended quickly when all of the zombies decided to attack a man who was repairing his car. He proceeded to take apart his car, and reassemble it with fewer parts, using the spare pieces to build an arsenal of weapons and mines, which he then used to kill all of the zombies, after which he drove off to an unknown location.
Great game. I like the way it looks. It's so simple, yet so great. And the music (Including the heavy breathing.) goes really well with the game. I just wish it was more "mentally challenging". What I mean is that some levels are based on timing, and not a lot of them are really puzzling. And it could have been a bit longer, but that's less important.
What I loved was the unique design and "twist" of almost every level, something I've never actually seen in a flash game before. Great idea, good music and visually pleasing. If only it was a bit longer and/or a tad more challenging, it would be 5/5, but this way, I give it a 4/5.
The game was buggy. After acquiring the hamster gun i pressed B and suddenly died, but the screen was left down there at the bottom of the pit. Also, after a while, the game started slowing down.
There's too much info when I don't want it. It's great to see how many steps I walked, but I don't need it popping up all the time. And I don't care for the number of global achievements.
Also some of the achievements are not working, such as the mute/unmute game, and some are just plain boring, like having to douse the torches and then light them back up a hundred times for one achievement. Plus, the "Sacrifical pellet" should be counted by the number of pellets donated, not the times, cause I, and I guess many people collected 600 in 4/5 donations.
Furthermore, the game doesn't feel like the previous ones. There's too much to walk once you die, instead of instant action. Example the pit, where I have to fall down, and climb back up some hundred times before I touch everything...
If only you had a list of all parts so you wouldn't have to shift between them and were able to save the Mecha you made as an image this game would have everything.
The story is flimsy, filled with contradictions, the grammar is terrible, there isn't enough info about half the things, the mini games aren't fun and quick(The worst is Destiny mode, it is too much luck based, and the odds are stacked against you.), there are spikes in difficulty coming from levels that spam a hard-to-kill once you get to middle health, the boss(es?) that can only be damaged by Paladog and kill multiple of your units at a time are broken, the strength/food cost ratio isn't balanced, the unit upgrades are too costly (Or the gold drop rate is too low.), the enemies spectrum is so great it's actually ridiculous, the bosses lines are stupid and the tactics pretty much boils down to "spam archers".
So basically it's a 120-level long grindfest that gets boring after about level 50. But I still completed it cause I'm a overachieving little badgewhore.
I did like the idea of a main hero that can influence the battle more direct in this kind of "epic war"-esque game.
This game is great. The look and music make for a great atmosphere, and I particularly liked the giant background monsters in the distance giving that feeling that there's more to this story.
The game feels a little slow for a runner game at first, until you get used to it. And it's a shame that it's not longer.
Both of these problems could be solved with a couple new modes, the first being an endless mode where you run till you die and aim for the highest score, and the second one being an adrenaline mode, where everything goes faster.
You could make it so that one could play a finite level in adrenaline mode, and the endless and adrenaline modes combined.
It's been a while since I saw a game with such a simple concept deliver as mush as this one did.
5/5
I must also add that I like how there's an odd joke here and there, like how if you hover your mouse over the "Authorized Personnel Only" sign, it read's "I'll just ignore this.", and the "What do you know, more pipes!".
A big improvement over the previous installment, what with the task list and evidence log.
It would be nice to have a datapad log too though, and I've noticed that all the episodes use the abbreviation etc in places where it shouldn't be used.
Nevertheless, this game is great, keep up the good work Psionic!
Thanks, you can always re-view the datapads but like you say perhaps it would have been better to download them to your inventory or something? Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment, appreciate it!
Happy to hear it! Thx.
