Two things:
1. Improve the presentation. Give it more levels, better art, and some sound.
2. Focus the level on moving the character UP not sideways, it gets boring and monotonous to wait for the character to move from one block to the one right next to it. You wanna make it so you can get the maximum distance with each jump.
Other than that, it's good. Just fix the occasional jumping bugs and put in some more variety int he obstacles.
Is the frame rate set to 15 or something or is it just really laggy? Also the collision detection sucks. And what's with the song of time remix on the menu screen?
Here's some advice: Don't start off the game with a hard part, or else people will quit the game and not see all the other interesting things that you added into the game (I think that's why it has such a low rating). Great job, though, just don't make the jumping so repetitive!
Wow, this game actually has some potential. I'd suggest that you make the character a bit faster (and possibly smaller). What really impressed me though was that you knew that there was a glitch and warned us about it. Also, you even took out the ceiling so if the character is shot out of the level because of it, they aren't stuck (like what I did). Great job!
Congratulations! You're progressing on the Shootorials!
You should really finish the Shootorials before publishing your work based on it, because this isn't even close to a solid game.

While I have to admit that the controls are better than many of the other crappy snake games out there, but you really need to put a seizure warning at the beginning of the game.
