the only thing that is useless is flak:short range and low damage.Rockets are powerful and accurate, them work well after 2 or 3 upgrades in range.with 8 non upgraded fighters and 6 slightly upgraded rockets,your can even shut down your maingun if no enemy capital ships out there.I don't like lasers,they need a lot of upgrades which make them expensive infact,and they really suck when dealing with mines.
