So this is the end of the domination of the absurdly OP uncounterable SD / PB exhumer. Most player that was only good to spawn it and nothing else are now easily beaten by clever enought strategie. But SD / PB exhu still a good one, so nothing is lost. Probably the best balance update ever.
I think, altought glad and cutlass yard can be coubtered (barricade + 2 microlaser), it's realy annoying to see that glad yard make most thing in the game useless. Missile strat, blaster strat, arty strat, SD strat... everything became totaly useless because glad yard counter them. So now everybody play full laser strat and pvp start to be realy repetitive. May be a nerf on gladiator or FY could balance the actual situation.
Can you please make somethings against those f***ing SD / piranha bay exhumer that just kill everything in multi ? This is not a strategie, just an OP units. Build an exhu, and wait for win. Realy interesting.
Many of us notice that a lot of hacker recently spread on the game (yeah, this game is more and more disappointing during time). You can beat them by making 4 / 5 freeze fighter + 2 miner. When you have 75 metal, make a constructor and surround it with shielded 50 E cost turret. Freeze fighter will disable energy and metal prod, but the hacker still can make a biolab on your base (freezing give you some few second), so the constructor will make a survive base when the biolab spawn out. Then, shielded turret will make a protection against other spore. Your freezer will disable and destroy the biolab, and if you'r lucky, you'll win. If the hacker use 4 metal tech.... well you'll loose :)
Campaigne is alway the same thing : pityfull ennemy, then impossible boss, to the infinite. Multi is the only things that keep player on the game. If you have fun with campaigne only, good for you, but this game need a balanced and funny multi.
AMCG is right, Naval yard make everything worthless because of the corvette. Multi is full corvette yard fight, there's no more interest actualy to keep playing.
Hum... many aux are now 100% useless. Everybody know that constructor is essential for keep building in long battle. Now, naval yard is pretty indispensable too, in so far as it's better than a caps if you put a corvet in. My point is that naval yard should'n be an aux, but a starting stuff like générator and extractor. Then , naval yard should cost more energy, because actually, stardock are useless in comparison.
The problems with naval yard, is that when he's charged with med like spartan / minos / grendel, it's good and funny. But when he's charged with corvet, it's insanely OP. A corvet yard can deploy the power of 2 legion, and cost less than 1.
HA HA HA HA ! Ok, naval yard is a very good idea, but it urgently need to get nerfed (increase price), because 4 med for the price of 1 caps... totaly unbalanced, 4 med are better in most case. Otherwise great update, thank for the big map in multi, and for nerf on range spectre. I think, cwwallis, you finaly managed to balance multi, by fixing all glitch like full primer strategie, spectre rush, defense rush, all boring play style. Really good work.
No jim, spectre aren't OP, range stat is OP. Spectre is just a good vector for the range stat, but with normal range he his normal. everybody on multi is now full of primer and range mod. It's boring, always the same match, and I fialy can't find interest to keep playing. This game don't deserve the 5 star I givehim, not for the game, but for player on it.
Maps in multi still not big enought. Primer user still hardly favourited : I can build anything in front of my base withaout getting sniped by random defense. This should be possible only with a constructor rush. I think the good maps type is like the flanks maps in campaigne, withaout the poor guy in center.
And the new boring strategie inmulti is...... Void lance rush ! How to counter this sh*t ? Build constructor behind your base, if your base get hit by a black hole, you still alive and your constructor is your new command base. Make barricade or phalanxe in front of base can work, but make them fast. Then, try to have a good fire power to destroy the void lance fast, and then destroy the ennemy costructor ; spectre are recommanded for this job. Good luck noobs.
Well now the "new boring tendence" in multi, after goliath rush, cloaked fighter rush, SD fighter rush, SD turret spamming, is the full primer strategie. I said nothing for the last, but now multi is just pure shit for anybody that don't use primer. So disappointed, this game is great and players on it are nice, but nobody have is own style and just play with boring stuff and boring strategie for win and gain rating. i suggest to remove the rating system from the game, because players just want to win, and battle in multi are not what we can expect from the famous Obliterate Everything game serie.
Ok thanks for the update but there's some problems with it, i don't know if i'm the only guy in this situation but : I can't open store when new stuff are in, I can't load graphic in multi (new map ?), and on old map, both bases explode every time (and It said "defeated"... by a NEWB èé), I don't see any things new after playing 2 hours in campaign, I don't see any way to make a private game in multi. I thinks I don't have acces to the update, I try shift refresh, restart browser, restart PC, but nothings work. I hope the problems will be solved soon :)
Interest of multi decrese day after day. Always the same units, always the same strategies, always same fights. Actually, multi is just noob extermination or humiliating defeat. Where are epic fight ? I thinks a possible solution could be to give more starting energy to players. The panel of starting strategies could be larger and the fights less repetitive.
Well, maybe some expert player with powerful upgrade on figther / medium ship have some special ninja technique to win without capital ship. But that doesn't change the fact that capital ship are too powerfull in comparison of the resource investment they represent. Especialy the carrier Legion that is realy annoying to fight when you don't use carrier ship.
Heavy ships are TOO POWERFULL. In OE 2 make some big ship was a good thing but not enough to win. Here just one can destroy an entiere base; That make the others ships useless in comparison. In multiplayer game, everybody use the strategie of : making metal, making metal, and the first guy that make a starport win the game. That work well... but it's really boring. Heavy ship a little less powerfull must be appreciable for the strategique aspect of the game. Otherwise : great game 5/5.
