There should be a name for Canabalt clones like this game and Robot Unicorn Attack. Canaclones? Still, nice game. The style reminds me of jmtb02's elephant games, but I don't see any credits.
I feel that melee is underpowered here. The basic melee units aren't really faster or stronger than the others, and given their small range and the fact that the can't even hit a lot of enemies, it makes me avoid using heroes with melee troops. Still, great game. Loads better than the other Protector games.
The AI is... bad. I never see the enemy actively go to a mine for energy or make an effort to attack my base. On the last level of the Zerg campain, the AI kept mass-producing the transport ships with hardly any offense at all. :/
Wow, getting to the end of a nest and dying is really stressful... You can't splat a queen larva when it's transforming. If you try to stand near it and hit it, it will grow blades and kill you. :(
Okay, I have a problem. What do these stats do? What are "spirit" or "knowledge", and how do they going to help me hit stuff with my sword? Clicking "help" doesn't explain it, and it shouldn't be necessary to read an external guide just to figure out the basics of how to level up.
