Sublimate Lore cost Codices, which themselves give max research, which is why it will reduce your max research until you have more Codices. the Sublimate lore does increase the research once you have the Codices back.

You can use Your supplies to travel to a more richer in gold parts of a world. It will reset Your progress but provide a bonus to a gold. Just click Travel button when You are ready.

Clicking the race button constantly does not make the game any more fun. Either a auto race or even adding a button to run multiple races button (10, 100, etc.) with a bar that slowly fills up may make it less tedious.
