Chaos has some pretty sweet novels, but as a beginner and a loyalist I chose Imperials Space Marines. I’ve got DOW/DoW2 but it won’t work for some reason. I;m reading the DoW2 books right now, lol. Have you read the Brothers of the Snake novel? That’s my favorite so far, along with Mechanicum.

Horus is awesome, but honestly, reading the Horus Heresy novels, he made a better good guy in my opinion.
