i'm having problems with the movement controls. sometimes when i press left and let go he continues to move left indefinately

fire can stay on the screen for a long time, it can carry over throught to other missions. after i completed the biker rampage, there was fire on both sides of the screen for the rest of the time i played, making the main mission very easy.
