HINT: Upgrade all stars into money. You can then buy every gem at the shop and combine to make powerful gems. Reset stars at any time to HP speed etc if you are having trouble with a group.
To use BFG hold down left mouse separately for each shot to charge up. If you are having trouble with the last level on insane, using the "pushback" ability with "crowd master", "stealth" and "fast shot" perks is the best combo I have found. Use Vulcan Cannon as your main weapon. Farming level 39 in normal for max stats helps a lot too. Great game - lots of potential for another sequel too with different weapons, enemies, maps. 5/5.
got to say, great game. Did get stuck at some skeletons though... absolutely love the music and top notch voice acting at the start. Incredible actually.
man i used to think matt sucked. until i played mighty monoliths with him :D. Now I like him the best and just beat the surviver badge with matt till lvl 98. just tapping attack is often better than holding it down i find so long as it isnt distracting your dodging. gives you a wider attack. Plus matt's sword attack recharges fast
BUG - my guy goes very very very slow. attacks and jumps and animations work as normal but he moves across the screen pixel by pixel. Just happened all of a sudden while fighting. quitting and leaving doesnt return it to normal. maybe just made it slower. Tried refreshing. restarting ff. Guy still goes slow
The screen sometimes auto pans on a missile or a guy you dont want to see. We should have the option to override the auto screen pan and move the screen to see where we want. Great game however. Multiplayer would be awesome!
I managed to just beat normal difficulty with the mage general which ownes all. However the next hardest difficulty, is a bit rediculus since I have only 2 units now...
