I can't really say i agree with the complaint about having to grind much to advance in level or get better equipment. But this may be because BezerkStudio has tweaked gameplay or because happen to pick a powerful build by chance.
Right now i'm using all chars with the same build (and if i regret that later, i'll just buy different slaves, yay for Roman times!) Main stat: Strength, Secondary stat: Speed. Skill points only in Dimachaerus (dual wield). Although i did grind a little in the first city, in general you could say that when you defeat all teams and get all goals in a city (and maybe defeat a couple of more challengers) you'll be easily getting into the next city.
I'm currently in Nicomedia, the third city, and still going strong.
I have 5 leather scraps in the bank, and 2 leather scraps in my inventory, and i can't combine the two. If i take the scraps out of my inventory, they take up a second inventory slot.
I would expect to be able to combine them so that i have one slot with 7 leather scraps, unless of course the max number of items in a single slot is 5 or 6.
Fixing this would make a bank a lot more useful.
Thanks and keep up the good work! :)
Overal a decent game, but very much room for improvement. It just doesn't feel 'polished'. Reel animation could be smoother, remember last bet amount, fix the achievements button (clicking does nothing) and the bonus game isn't a game at all, just open a couple of chests, and wait 4 seconds or so before i can open the next. rated 3/5.
Nice entertaining game. Not too timecunsuming, so just the right length. Too bad escaping makes you lose all your collected gems in the jump. So when you continue, you can't upgrade anything.
That was awesome! Thank you, sir.
Only point of critique is that there wasn't any endscene when you fully complete all levels. It takes me back to the startscreen and if i press play, it takes me back to the last level i completed, still in the same state i left it.
Other than that, awesome game 5/5!
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a game. It's merely a chessboard simulator. It's doesn't keep score, time or has any AI. Not nessecarily a bad thing, but i was expecting a chess game, not a virtual chess board.
This is not a game you created but one of the example games that is shipped with StencylWorks.
According to the StencylForge repository, this game was created by ozzy64k.

Excellent! Different enemies which need different strategies to kill them. Different weapons that make you think if you HAVE to upgrade them all. Great balance in gameplay (although maybe a bit too easy)
Things i missed:
- Skip enemy move (especially last level)
- Show AP cost for in game actions (when hovering with mouse) for attack, defend, door open/close and stimgun/medipack so i can better plan ahead.
- Better visual difference between ammo and credit crates (may be my monitor though)
- View mission objectives while in game
That said: PLEASE make more games like these. I love the engine, gameplay and atmosphere!
Good job!
If you like this kind of games, i can highly recommend Simon Tatham's puzzle collection (for both Windows and *Nix pcs.
Maybe not as good looking, but certainly good for hours of logic puzzle fun!
MOvement is slow, combats are boring because there is no skill involved - just clicka button, and wtf do you mean to be continued? If you're to lazy to make a complete game dont post it. Half a game without a proper ending doesn't exactly invite to play a possible second part.
I suggest next time postponing posting your game untill it is actually finished. Believe me, people will respond a lot better.
Found a bug: In the oasis quest, i use the freeze spell to freeze both the anacondas.
When both are frozen and it's their time to move, an anaconda attacks (while frozen, not sure if this is meant to happen) and then the turn never switches to a new character or player. So you're basically stuck.
Noted, thanks.
