This is pretty fun. The complex shapes are fun to extract. Actually, large complex shapes could easily be added as bosses, sort of systematically whittle them down.
Also, agreed, I have no idea what half of the groupings are called. Some of the shapes don't really imply the names given to them. Maybe add the feature that if you hang out near them for a second, the name comes up, with an option to turn off names.
I just got stomped by Level 7 in TukkunFCG... The AI had two Flame Dragons and PermaMonstered both of them by round 6. I played a Yellow Crawler. Pretty sure I didn't last 10 rounds.
Mouse over the tank that fired at you to reflect the shot back at it. Hits 'em every time. 4/5, but needs bonus something for taking no damage, and Game Over screen takes far too long to change (allow it to be clickable to move past it).
Tukkun! Shouldn't ties in FCG go to the player, and not the AI?
Stats just before the last round... (Me: 10 health, 13 + 8 att, 5 def.) (AI: 7 health, 1 + 12 att, 0 def.) We both die after that round. It was counted as a loss to me. I can see the justification that I didn't survive the match, but it seems unnecessarily harsh to the player since the AI gets no benefit from winning from a draw. I mean, if we get a Ring of Protection in Battle Arena for such a situation, why not allowing something similar in FCG?
Or add a Draws/Ties statistic? I'm cool with that, too.
Pretty good game. Maybe 3/5. Mainly because I don't see the point of being able to change your suspension. The wheels fall off a the first opportunity, and you're stuck having to spin/bomb/boost your way to anything more than the first destructible barrier.
It turns out that you can use the keys in an order that keeps you from continuing through the yellow and green doors to the upper two rows of rooms on the map. I don't remember what I did, but I can't get through the yellow door in map location 5,1 (if 0,0 is the bottom left, increasing right and up). Yes, I've gotten all of the keys on the bottom three rows of the map. The map says I have them all. I've got a blue and a green one left. I have four hats and seven gems. No, I didn't use the walkthrough. Is this known to the developer?
Yeah, controls are pretty bad, but if the gameplay was cleaned up a bit (easier to control vehicles, allow player to control the camera), this would be quite fun. Destructible everything would be sweet, including rocks and landscape. Maybe make the human run just a little bit faster. Being able to hop into the turret towers would also be fun. And, whoa, satellite feed! Sweet, dude. Good work.
@brainboxj, yes, but it's mostly luck since there's no way to know what the final boss will attach with next; since level 15 isn't required for the Kong badge, my advice is to not worry about it
