Tips for the fog puzzle: When you push 2 to show the sounds as text, they will appear on the side of the screen from which the sound is coming (ex. "crow calls" appearing on the top left means that it's coming from ANYWHERE left of your position, ranging from right next to you to completely off screen). Second, notice that after the first entrance over the bridge, the areas are basically hallways with invisible doors. This means that as long as you haven't clicked on anything with a pointy-finger, you can keep walking past an entrance as long as there's background past it to click. I may be stating the obvious, but it took me a second to realize these things so I figure somebody else will too :)
Damn good game. I'm not sure if I believe some of the names of the description authors, though. "John Doh" and "William Thewolf" strike me as people who may not have been honest about their real names. On the other hand, if they are real, I commend them on having sweet ass names.
If you want to lose some speed at the beginning (you definitely do; it makes the buildings spawn closer until you speed up again) you can hit the two obstacles that always spawn in the first building and still make the first jump if you jump at the last second (just before or during the break of the first window) and get the full arc of the jump without touching the ceiling.
Is it just me or do I not always jump when I push the button? I really hope it's just something wrong with my laptop keyboard because jumping is literally the only control in this game.
Damn, that was kick ass. Questions!:1) Why did you need so many people to write environment descriptions? Did they get to do that as donation rewards? 2) My account is full of these stupid U.S. dollars and your site lists euros as what I am to pay with. Does it convert automatically? How me give moneys?
At first I was confused, because the game wasn't hard enough to be made by Terry Cavanagh. Then I saw that the guy who made The Infinite Ocean worked on it and all was made clear. Beautiful.
By no means a bad game, but it's missing something that will push it that extra mile into good territory. It feels a little lacking in that there's really only two things to do: collect bones and beat the level. One of them is pointless and the other is done with no real obstacle. There's nothing memorable about it, any level can be beaten in a matter of moments and the gameplay is nothing new. In the description says it's a simple game, and that's sort of the problem. It's too simple.
Why does the shark attack only me when the water is filled with people? It'd be better if the shark only came when there were a lot of people around. Or better yet any time I get a high bite count, like the shark is only showing up because he smelled blood instead of feeling like he's just there because he hates me.
It would be nice to see stats on the hero page. Having the per level buffs is good but I can't balance them with my items if I don't know which ones I have.
If only the destructible gray blocks made a different sound when destroyed than the blue ones, that way you could hear when you hit one of them and not think you hit a blue one.
