Okay, this is a huge bug.
I had the game crash with an error message (something about GL I think, I didn't read it). After restarting I was told that I had been absent from the game for 365 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds and I got the full factory production for that time.
I'm not complaining but I'm pretty sure that's unintended.
I just killed myself with ice blast because when I selected it it centered on me.
Would appreciate if it would aim a bit off when there are no enemies just to save idiots like me.
One thing to improve.
Don't turn the enemies into damage sponges. Cool enough to have a difficult enemy, but difficult is not the same as having a ton of health. It just gets annoying to have to unload hundreds of rounds into an enemy before they die. It gets even worse when those enemies begin to make up 20 % of the enemies you encounter. Seriously. An enemy that survives multiple head-on explosions? I feel completely powerless. I feel that my weapons are useless. I hate it. Take away their health, give them special moves instead. I know there are some enemies with special moves, but for instance the shield mutant, give him a mode where he closes in with his shield raised so he has huge armor then when he gets close let him take a swing while opening up for an attack that will actually hurt him significantly.
There are some very subtle moral choices in this game. I mean, the one with the bandit is pretty obvious, but now I find myself robbing the dead of their belongings without repercussion. It is kind of interesting.
