It might be something on Kong's API's end causing the load failure since the site is already in low maintenance mode and all (https://www.kongregate.com/forums/1-kongregate/topics/1916387). I can't really test it or actually do anything to about it because the game does not work for me. Thank Adobe who announced the global killswitch a month before it was flipped, two years after the EoL announcement said they're "encouraging" developers to move elsewhere.
The incompatible player notification shows up when the game fails to load properly, e.g. Supernova player is only capable of rendering the UI but not actually playing the game, so the notice shows up letting people know that it's a player issue. As long as Kong loads the game properly on Flash, it should play fine, and some people have reported it still working for them here even despite the EoL. Note that if Kong's API is down (or has been taken down entirely, since the site is already in maintenance mode and all), a sitelock notice will show up instead since the game has always been API sitelocked here.
here's the way to cheese level 8 if you're having problems:
build 10 lysosomes and find some glucose, then recycle your chloroplasts one at a time for 1250AA and more than 50FA
keep in mind that you'll get a "Game Over...?" screen two times when performing the last step, so you'll have to press "Keep Playing" each time
wait until you have 2500ATP
next, spamclick to build 50x toxins
if you do this properly you'll beat the stage in ~2 minutes and A+ rating
Here's a tip for the last level:
1.Do not produce any toxins and first build up lysosomes & peroxisomes & defensins.
2.Get 3x chloroplasts then 4x mitochondria.
3.Generate as much ATP as possible, you'll really need it. And before you start thinking about moving on too soon, you need 50G's worth, remember that you will use a lot just by looking around for it.
4.Recycle all of your chloroplasts for the fatty acids you will need.
5.Smack that toxin button 50 times.
Assuming you did it correctly, all of the toxin will be created pretty much at the same time and you should win at the first virus wave
.
If you need a last-ditch effort because you didn't get enough ATP for the toxins - keep moving around the map, not only will this slow down viruses trying to attack you but you'll get more G.
Glitch: When you have an Ultimate Heat Outlet and a basic coolant cell, the Ultimate Heat Outlet still deposits BILIONS of heat into it, the cell melts instantly, but the heat... disappears. This also works if you have a coolant cell SURROUNDED by Ultimate Heat Outlets.
Here's a bug: If you get a 2k coolant cell, put 1.9k heat in it and a basic heat inlet. Now you have infinite heat, place anything and it will get destroyed (eventually).
I know, not really useful.
How come there is nothing to cool down the reactor when you get to Dolorium?
Quad Dolorium Cell*2 generates too much heat even for a full screen of Ultimate Heat Outlets + Ultimate Heat Exchangers + Ultimate Heat Vents...
So you basically only can cool down manually, which isn't any fun at all.
Wow the top comments really are useless...
@skwiggle the aliens are upgrading the tripod, the more it destroys the more they give on upgrading it.
@bbuurrbb IT CAN OBVIOUSLY TURN AROUND, IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE TO!
Guys, a multiplayer game needs SERVERS did you hear that? SEEERVERSS, this game is so popular that if they just bought something for 5 dollars it would insta-crash.
And no they won't spend 2500 dollars just for you to play multiplayer.
If you pull on the door, take your pants off and sit on the toilet and just wait for the timer to run out, the game thinks you weren't sitting on the toilet.
