Seriously, even on low quality things get unsynced and for stupid reasons.
If a sequel comes out this should be fixed.
Also, it would be nice if you could choose to fix what robot #1 did, etc.
Ok, I just got all the badges and the card.
1. When he first shoots the laser, get behind him and use your magic at full and let him have it.
2. When not doing this, group a bunch of headstones together and wail on them for XP. As leveling up is important. (Watch out for the bread!)
3. You should also have two lives at this point (your current and the last one.)
4. You should max out on your levels sometime around when he changes into a skull... this is when you wail on him with the lollipop which has awesome damage.
It's kinda hard to explain how to go about attacking him when he's the skull, but to me it looks like he likes to shoot in certain parts of the screen. Study the pattern.
