ya all water kills you in the game. it was lethal in the original and it is lethal in this one.
i just added some new improvements to help the pacing of the game.
thanks for the comment. ya i understand what you are talking about now with the edges. the weird part is how to do the collision detection since slower machines respond differently. i am working on it to improve that aspect. thanks for the creative criticism.
please elaborate when you say "bad" game. not sure what is wrong with the game since it is a near identical remake of the original.
perhaps the original's time has past. for me it was just a chance to learn pure AS3 over the Christmas weekend.
ahhh i forgot to add the fall sound. ill go back and add it later. man i cant believe i forgot something that classic... the falling sound whenever the explorer falls into a pit.
high score and trophies are always a great add. we'll keep that in mind for the next version on kongregate. :D
we were going to work on a facebook port but didnt have enough time to test everything out and get that part working. hopefully we can get that api working well with this game.
ya we were thinking about that break between levels. we just didnt know how many levels to go before we should break.
what do you suggest? would 3 levels at a time then a bonus/break level be good?
i am trying to last at full size for the whole duration of the song.
about the song. i didn't think anyone would want to play it more than 3 minutes at a time. it is a quick fix for an avoider. ie i didnt think anyone liked to play avoiders for more than say 10 minutes. if that's the case then ill fix it up.
the problem with this game is that is way too addictive until you get to point where it is way too hard.
i tried that level a few times and stopped quickly.
apparently there can be lag between the game and the kongregate flash chat ap.
