For 2HARD badges, follow this path!
First join chaos desert(It'll be a lot easy with CD, with highest number of attacks you'll be simply won battles).
Join the black robe -- Fight ur ways 'till u find alchemist AND DON'T KILL HIM -- You'll be asked to meet CD clan leader, choose to HELP HIM -- attempt to LOSE THE BATTLE WITH BLOODSTER! -- You'll become Neutral(Wanted) -- Choose to fight and become The Great Mage by defeating ALL clan leaders.
Upgrade means better? How come the more you upgrade Fire, the more it'll be getting harder to control? May be it's just too much for that dragon to afford such power.
Don't bother upgrade anything but FIRE. Oddly enough, it says "Low power"(For fire), still the damage is not different from Ice, Bolt or even Light that many to call "Low".
So can we say everything is weak, but fire is the best? Simply the cost is too insanely high!
Upgrading "Mana" at first lv1 costs 250M, then goblins will give you 2 more M each. So, you've to kill 125 goblins to recover the costs. Not a wish choice I suggest.
Addicted, great game of course.
Tho I think it'll be much better if you don't have to click all over around(Add hot key).
For me, better than gem craft.
