I am quite sure that a huge amount of gold dissapeared after I turned in the Mana Beast quest. Srsly, I came out of the woods with lots of kills' worth of gold, turned in the quest, went to Fleen... And had 51 gold.

You know what's bad in this game? First 12 waves you absolutely need fire mages to kill the damn zombie hordes and then come demons who absorb fire and yer screwed.
