You realize that the original has the exact same “hold space to jump farther” feature? Neither game requires you to hold the button ofter you reach the peak of the jump, so there’s plenty of time to release it before you land.
i know i made a comment just after i posted the first, and said it was probably because u didnt have to jump over objects in the first that it was far less noticeable as an issue.
