Okay, the CO-OP section of the story is officially INFURIATING and I'm only on level one. why do I have to wait 30 seconds to "find" an AI teammate? especially when there's no I in the AI.
Campaign was fun, until level 9. Nothing like giving the enemy every advantage, and then some.
It's like being on the wrong side of an early "training mission"
This game, like SOOOOO many other pint & click games, needs a BORDER. If I click one pixel outside the game screen, the game stops responding and I die. Bleh
One more thing, weapon finds are too luck based. Ho can I searcha Police station and sporting goods store and find nothing? Not even a helmet so the moron survivors aren't one-punched by a hammer?
Spacebar Bugs and doesn't switch weapons half the time (I don't need to pull the grenade pin BEFORE using another weapon, thanks!)
Also, no Brightness, mute, or saves. I like the first one for it's simplicity.
At this point on Kongregate, if you make a game that loses your saves, EPIC FAIL. This is not difficult, if I spend hours playing your game, then I log back on to find my save has vanished, your game goes from "enjoyable" to "suck".
This game is made unnesesarilly difficult by Kongregate's Draconian size limitations. Case in point, on my monitor (high res) the doeos are sometimes smaller than the cursor itself. Annoying.
Ultra buggy - "Past Selves" lose sync, don't do the same thing they did before (which is the entrie premise) and occasionally just fall off the screen and die. -5/5
Ripoff of a better game - this is too buggy. I get paradoxes when the "Past me" is right next to the time machine, desynching, etc. nice idea that was better executed by the game you ripped off. 1/5
It's nice RPG, but I HATE having AI team members - The entire crew dies because the moron won't use his heal skill.... grumble
Other than that, nice job 4/5
More than most, this game shows the weakness of the Kongregate Interface, the chat window forces the size far to small. There's almost 4 inches of whitespace wasted on both sides of the game/chat. (On my monitor) this game would be much nicer at a larger size. Otherwise I'm pixel hunting because the picture's so tiny.
Things that make any game less fun:
1) Laggy handling & poor controls
2) Hazards/Targets/Goals located off screen so you have to jump blindly
3) Time trials where the goal time is top secret.
Few games exhibit this problem as much as the thing-thing series - they get a LOT less fun to play the longer you play them, to the point of becoing painful.
