A stylish and enjoyable game, though I felt the stealth was a bit clunky. Also, the killing animation was a lot of fun the first few times, but after a while mashing spacebar got a bit old and I felt the kill time could have been reduced a bit. 4/5.
3) Items! They are few and far between. Make more of them and have them drop off enemies sometimes. Part of the fun of any game of this sort is hunting for cool items.
4) Make the different classes more different from each other. They mostly feel the same right now. Only difference in skills is whether or not they have a healing spell, whether or not they have a single target damage spell, and whether or not they have a multi-target damage spell. Combined with lack of customizability within classes this makes leveling up boring and every class feel pretty close to each other. The difference in stat points doesn't make them play differently, so it's not a sufficient difference to make the game interesting.
Anyway, hope you one day take what you have and improve upon it.
This game could be good but it has some serious problems. Aside from server stability and glitches, here are some things you might want to work on:
1) All enemies just attack. Give them some special abilities or something to differentiate them from each other.
2) Characters have lots of mostly useless ability bump powers. Maybe they get some use against bosses, but otherwise these powers are worthless. You need more creative skills for the characters. (cont'd)
I don't understand why every level is exactly the same. You really only need one level, not 16, since nothing changes (well, okay, only played through level 6 before I got bored, maybe something changes after that).
A cool idea, but you really need more options so people can build unique towers. As it is, there are really only two types of towers people can build. Straight damage towers and slowing towers. There is also no real variety in the enemies. What you have is good, but there just need to be more options for it to hold my interest. Looking forward to the next iteration and 3/5
Cool concept and nice graphics, but the gameplay is crap and nothing is balanced well. Also, the computer AI is crazy stupid, and just wins by having vastly superior damage/health. 2/5
I feel like this game could have been much better, but there's a disconnect between level design and physics engine. I wanted to go fast and bounce all over the place, but the game rewards you for being very slow and careful. Ended up just being a boring exercise in patience. 2/5
Just finished the game as the psionic. I enjoyed it a lot, but have two complaints. First, the dog quest was stupid. Second, the boss of level 3 is a bit too tough. I'd tone him down a bit and I think you'll get fewer complaints, as the rest of the game is nicely balance--difficult, but fair and very doable.
Cool, I remember playing the beta release of this game and hoping there would be another version with more classes and more options. Now there is, so you just made my day.
An interesting game with some potential, but the controls really need to be smoother. Right now it feels like I'm battling the controls more than anything else. 3/5
As for items, you could have armor (increases HP), shields (decreases damage taken from physical attacks), amulet (decreases damage taken from magical attacks), wands (increases your damage), healing potions (sacrifice a turn and use one for some instant healing), invisibility potions (avoid a battle once), etc.
Anyway, these are just a few ideas I came up with right now, I'm sure if you work at it you can add much more variety and interest to the game. As it is, it doesn't really have much in the way of tactics, and it gets repetitive long before it's over, but it has potential. 4/5 because I'd like to see you make another, better version.
I'd suggest including some instructions, most people don't seem to realize that they need to rest or they'll get weaker. Otherwise, this is an okay game but the resting system is kind of stupid. Being able to buy items and spells would be a better use of money. Also, more variety in spells would be nice, as right now there are only three types of spells--straightforward damage, drain, and healing. How about a spell that gives a chance of the enemy missing their turn? A spell that deals damage over time? A spell that raises your defense, making attacks against you do less damage? A spell that can't be defended against? A spell whose blocks can only be moved by you, not by your enemy? A super spell that requires a line up of four blocks to activate, but which is very high damage?
Like many others, I'm experiencing significant lag. I tried IE and Firefox, and I upgraded to the most recent version of Flash, nothing worked. Hope you look into and solve the lag problem as the game looks great from what I managed to play.
