Also, if you click start, alt+tab to another screen and then move to where the finish is and alt+tab back. i don't know how you would be able to detect that.

Clever game, the dog moves too slowly is my only complaint. The graphics are nice and the controls are responsive.

It looks like the game over screen is only a game over if you click on it. If you press down repeatedly you will win each level. There are still a few issues that need to be worked out.
