if there was a quick way to restart battles, this game wouldn't be half bad. But I'm getting extremely frustrated with getting unlucky on the first randomization and then being screwed for the rest of the battle because everything is so luck-based. If I at least had an option to quickly exit and rejoin, or to restart the battle, this wouldn't be so bad, but you're expecting us to do a ton of grinding just to pass some levels because we have to rely on luck so heavily and have to battle ALL the way until the end. It's a bit silly. A bigger tiles area or a way to increase the chances of certain tiles would have been a nice addition.
Thanks for making another interesting and fun game Bonte! Puzzles were fun without being too easy or too hard, and the game had a lot of style to it. I felt warm and relaxed the whole time I was playing. Easy 5/5 :)
Saw when this game came out, and I avoided playing until today because I knew that as soon as I started, I wouldn't be able to put it down until I had completed everything. This is an awesome game. 10/5 Love the Soul games series!
This game was made very well. It seems to be very fine tuned and be very smoothed out. TI have no complaints on the game. Loved the upgrade system, and that you can upgrade mid-run. Love the abilities. Love the how the value of gems scales as you get higher and higher, compared to the increasing cost of upgrades. There is a nice balance between the money you make and the money you need to buy the next upgrade you want. I always felt like I had just the right amount of money, enough to give me one or two upgrades per run, and never to much or too little. It's skill-based yet not painfully difficult. Very well made, great job. 5/5 and favorited.
I hate that you have to choose between picking up money and saving your health by not smashing into a mass of enemies that are hovering over said money pellets. If the money stayed on screen longer so that you could draw the enemies off of the money and pick it up later, it wouldn't be so bad, but the timer on the money pellets is way too short for that. Overall, the game has potential, and a degree of challenge with not being able to replay levels (unless you refresh your browser tab and load the save), but it could use numerous touch-ups that would make it much, much better.

I don't typically enjoy games this much, but this was fantastic. At first, I thought the grind-reward ratio was a little off, giving you a lot for little grinding, but soon that levelled out and I had no complaints. I did notice a semi-bug though. Hearts will generate if you lose your shield but still have full health. It doesn't change anything though so it's not really that much of a concern, just the only thing I noticed that wasn't perfect. And I'd say pretty much everything else was perfect. Great voice acting, great interface, great graphics, great gameplay, fair powers and upgrades, smooth with no lag, mute button and optional mute at start. Everything was fantastic. Wonderful job! 5/5 and favorited
For all wondering, you'll (probably) never get the 50k loot trophy unless you get kill combos through entire levels. Enemies give loot values, and once you get to 30-, 40-, or 50-kill combos then the easiest enemies are more valuable than the best chests. You have to keep your kill combos as high as possible meaning killing as often as possible while avoiding getting hit. A single hit in the middle of a level will effectively ruin your chances for getting the trophy without a lot of luck. Having your 30 combo go to 0 from a single arrow will drastically decrease the number of soulrons you end up with at the end of the level, not to mention demoralize you completely after you've been at this for a few hours (or days).
2 things that annoy me: 1.) Holding up after a single jump should open the parachute but it doesn't. At least give me a button to manually open it between jumps. I keep hitting things when I need to jump a second time to open it. 2.) Restarting levels. There are a few things that frustrate me here, the first of them being that I need to wait until after all of the animations ave played on the level results screen before I can restart again. It seems like a small thing, those few seconds, but it gets annoying. The other thing that I dislike is that when you beat a level and get one new objective, you're FORCED to go back to the map before being able to replay the level again. This is really annoying when you're trying to finish multiple objectives but only got one or two one that play through.Just a few minor criticisms, overall I'm very happy. :)
@unspeakablenoise The game music is in the credits, the title theme is called "Truth of the Legend", by Kevin MacLeod. That guy has made tons, and Tons, and TONS of music that is used in flash games, he's a very good composer and rather famous as far as Kong games go. You see his name practically everywhere. But yeah, check the credits for more info.
The lack of ability to attack things right next to your character is stupid and unfair. If anything, those should be the best places to attack since you're using a sword. I'm tired of spending multiple seconds trying to kill one thing directly next to my character and having him do nothing while enemies are falling from the sky.
Remaining tips: Make friends early, the special towers are awesome, especially boost towers. Repeat levels on harder difficulties for more experience, ally benefits are worth it. Investments are good early in the game. Trying to mature boost towers into their respective upgrades will help out a lot, but only if the waves last to see those upgrades. Place them early and try to hold off enemies with your remaining towers, it will pay off late in the game. I always place respective fighters on their colored squares as the boost is pretty nice. DON'T try to sell towers, the money is not worth it and you still have to pay max price for the next one of those towers anyway.
Some tips: Place a barracks first. Then place a trading outpost and use the rest for towers. This will save you a lot of money through the level, especially if you set them all to +30 waves like I do. If you like using boost towers, place them early so you can get their upgrade rewards before the end. Place your champion at the end of the map so they can leave experience for the rest of the towers but still stop any remaining enemies. If using a warrior (unsure about the rest), always use the cleave option. You regenerate energy quickly and it can be a life saver in a pinch. With upgrades like slow enemies and restore energy on each hit, there is no reason to NOT use it. Don't be afraid to use your abilities, they are wonderful in tough spots. Remember that one or two enemies getting through doesn't ruin a level, you can always set it to an easier difficulty later for 3 stars.
Thanks for detailing those annoying points. Duly noted!
