People were complaining that the game forces you to complete all the missions before fighting the final boss? I didn't have a problem with the game. I finished before I upgraded everything which is always a good sign. I don't like a game that's so difficult that I fail a couple times with everything capped before finally winning. This game wasn't hard, it was satisfying. I beat it with the whole 'get all the goals first' and I did it without question, because it made sense. It feels kinda lazy to complain about having to do that. I didn't mind it. Well done game all together! Well done!
My BIGGEST peeve of for this game is the 'AI' of your companions. Flaws in the code really show through when you're in a big brawl with enemies and two of your characters suddenly disappear. The last two stand there, dumbfounded, shocked that their friends are no long with them any more. The two left stand there with a blank stare of disbelief. "How could it have ended this way? We were friends and now they're gone..." The long pause is quickly cut down by the enemies who don't hesitate as long as the troops. ALSO, the game doesn't seem to like me jumping into the middle of combat like I wanted to do in the beginning. Again, the enemies would react quickly while my own group had to reorganize in their little order before attacking. I've lost many good cats through this flaw...They were good fighters, strong fighters, and were fighting till the end...Then they lagged and died.
Coooool! I REALLY liked the art direction of this game as well as the tabletop-eske feel to it. It's usually not my cup of tea, but for some reason I came back to this game after playing it once. Something magical about this game I suppose. One complaint I have is the rather loud, sudden, and bass-ey menu music that plays the moment the game is booted up and after you beat a level. Yes, the music can be turned off (which I'm thankful for), but the song shook me out of my seat the first time I started playing. A small complaint and good overall game!
A solid game! Wonderful work! I defiantly enjoyed this rather innovative game! A few things bugged me though. Allowing extra seconds at the end of the boss area and keyboard interface has already been mentioned, but what I would really like to see fixed, if possible, is the torpedoes' target prioritizing. Now my guess is that it works so new targets and targets directly in front of the sub get top billing, however in multiple situations, I've found myself taking damage from a creature with a sliver of health because the targeting decided the slow moving fish miles away from me poses more of a threat than this near dead fish two inches away from me. Besides that and a few other tweaks people have mentioned, it's a wonderful game and I really enjoyed playing it!
Dear Game Designer,
THANK YOU for not making it a requirement to get both challenges done in the same race OR requiring us to get first place or something if we try to get the second challenge. It made things SO MUCH easier! And after retrying the same race a thousand times to get first place, making things easier was appreciated!
This seriously bugs me.
Five games I've played of this series and ALL OF THEM have that damn lag issue! ALL OF THEM!
I want to like the game. It's a great concept and this game I was actually able to get pretty far. The upgrades are cool and the 'combat' is devilishly satisfying.
However, I can't fully enjoy the game when lag spikes constantly occur, flinging me clear across the map, sending me into jellyfish or suddenly killing my fish army, sending me back to square one.
It's a small problem that CONSTANTLY gets in the way of any Feed Us game you play and it just burrows into your head, messing you up!
I like the game. I like the concept and the art and the upgrade system...
BUT I CAN'T STAND THE RANDOM JUMPING AND LAGGING POCKETS THAT HAPPEN! IT'S both annoying and frustrating when there's a sudden lag and I find my piranha army completely destroyed!
My knight was my most powerful. He was given the task of defending against the stronger hoards, keeping them at bay. My wizard was not as powerful, but was tasked with defending against just as many monsters. Then we have the third guy (pike?)...God what a disappointment he turned out to be, he was always tossed out on the weakest track or had one of the stronger guys behind him to clean up his mess...
"Oh boy! A new Last Door game!"

Oooohh....Kay...Interesting beginning

Crooooooooooooows! Crows! Crows! Get out of my game! I don't want you here! Go back to the first game where you belong!
Rather easy and quick game. Aside from the lag issues that happen when the screen is lit up with explosions and coins, it's a solid game.
For those of you who are struggling with the Hard Endless Gunner Badge, try combining powerful, enemy seeking weapons like the rocket launcher and the infinite jump upgrade. Spend the time rapidly pressing the jump button so that you're in the no mans zone above the screen where few enemies can get you and your rockets will pour down from. Bosses like the UFO will be able to hit you, but regen should help counteract that.
Your finger will start hurting, but if you pace yourself you can easily get the Hard Badge.
I've loved the series since the first game. Playing it for the first time was so much fun and the controls and gameplay was so smooth and I adored the combat, the faction of enemies I could trick to killing each other, and that oh so satisfying feeling I get when I rush over a sea of coins after a giant combo.
But this companion biz...I do not like it. I found myself running after the idiot who was running on a preset path, through many bomb wielding enemies and often stood RIGHT ON TOP of explosive barrels. I often attempted to find key flaws in the AI where I could wedge my useless companion against a wall so I could finish the level on MY time, not the rushed, gun toting, brain dead, jar head of a companion I had to guard. The game seemed flawless without the need to babysit.
Why did my ancestors start fighting the other team's ancestors in the first place? Here I am, sending my armies of loyal lazer blaster soldiers and an endless line of close range tanks and I have no clear reason.
For all we know, Oog took Ugh's favorite rock and wouldn't give it back so Ugh took one of Oogs favorite scratching sticks and wouldn't give it back.
Most ran away and now I have three ghost friends to party with me in my mansion.
Before I scared off the last person, I took a moment to clean up the place. Put the vases back where they were, reset the table, the bathroom was a mess too. I got a little carried away trying to crash this giant party.
Heh! Thanks for the play and the comment! I appreciate it! Best, -Tim
