(bark!) "Sir, there's a dog is at the gate!" Me: dude, it's just a dog, get a grip... jeez where's the f*ng dog? Is it stuck in the entrance? (bark! bark!) "Sir, it's barking!" (outpost is barked to death)
Buggy as hell. Movement keys stick in one direction or immobilize completely. Game crashes (at least for me) after every active mission, just as I'm starting another one. How did this get a 'game of the year' award? Maybe it's just my machine.
Dogs damaging a building isn't realistic. Might as well show them peeing on it, at least that would have made me laugh. Oh god, and the dude bellyaching about advancing zombies should yell, 'bad dog!'
There's no 'sell all' button because in a jam you could press it to have no consequences for a meltdown except for the fuel cells. Everyone who plays this needs to make a mistake and click their asses off in a losing battle with the heat until they lose everything. I did it twice, and both times laughed my ass off.
Heat exchangers are underpowered, and direct connection bonuses are only 200%, so connected designs just don't work as well as keeping the cells isolated from everything, and just working with the properties of the base reactor directly. That should be corrected, because designing stuff would have been more than half the fun. The game should be retooled to use only localized heat flow.
Game crashed, and when I refreshed the page, my progress was reset to nothing. Since I've already seen this in Strikeforce Kitty 1, I was not surprised. Another 'Hate' rating.
Wow. I was up to 72 pieces of equipment, but it didn't save. Since I have to do this again now for the Cuteness overload badge, this repetitive game is getting a 'hate' from me.
This is but a small echo of the original, the granddaddy of them all. If you've never heard of it, go look up Myst (released 1993) to learn your gaming history.
Hi. I have finished the next part of Abandoned. It's not Abandoned 2, but spin-off. Some bridge between 1st and 2nd part. Hope you'll like it. http://www.kongregate.com/games/krutovigor/abandoned-the-cube-chambers/
Bad UI design in the intro. ">>" means "fast forward", and it's confusing to have text appear off to the side saying "next" when I hover over it. The button itself should just say "next". Also a square button is universally recognized as "stop" (especially next to a ">>" button). Yet it says "skip", and we need to press this at the end of reading the intro to continue, even though there's no skipping involved.
Why bother growing your second city past level 5? Well, you get stuck waiting forever for gold when your first city gets to around level 20 (it will take days just upgrading all your banks). So do it because you're bored, and also because the second city is significantly harder; there are a lot of "medium" levels you will find either impossible to finish perfectly, or even at all, before getting more upgrades and leveling your town. Why win control of contested territory? The reward is gaining the income of a whole one (count them, one) banana farm, while you hold it.
So this game pretty much grinds to a halt around level 20 - everything gets so expensive that it takes many days just to get the gold for a single upgrade. I am surrounded by mostly impossible squares now, and I'm going to have to wait until... what, late May?... before I'll have all the upgrades required to continue.
What's the point of having a second city when your cash and upgrades don't carry over, and you have to start from scratch again, with just one... effing... monkey...? Bonus negative points: force us to do this for upgrades in our original city. Boo.
