just had to buy my way back into the Presents objective of the x-mas event - I made sure the game save at level 200 before I closed the game last night but this morning the objective screen was the first thing that pop up with I logged on - so I spent 2500 canes and landed on level 200 when the objective started - hope I don't have to do this every time I leave the game
Sorry about the downtime. We got it fixed as fast as possible. When you can't load the game for an error like that one, the game does think it is offline and you still got your offline progress.

If you fail to kill bloonarius within the hour, it resets. You can get beacon again to get a new hour and bloonarius HP is reset.
Whenever you need to retry killing bloonarius, the cost goes up geometrically. He needed 4 tries to kill it in the teen levels, and the last try might cost 50k city gold.
Here’s the problem: if you fail to kill it within the hour, hp resets BUT THE RETRY COST DOES NOT. If you need 3-4 attempts to kill it, and fail within the first hour, you effectively are done with the event. Your next set of tries starts at the price you left, and quickly it will get out of your bank range.
So don’t mess around at later levels thinking you can get a fresh start with your next beacon move.
